DOSAGE
Initially 250
mg once in a day, depending upon the condition
can be taken twice in a day
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Children and young women receiving
Pencillamine therapy may rarely develop iron deficiency
and it causes pyridoxine deficiency
SPECIAL
PRECAUTIONS
Monitor blood
counts, temperature, hepatic function, skin reactions,
eye.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Gold salts, Antimalarials, cytotoxic
drugs, oxyphenbutazone and phenylbutazone, iron
salts, antacids
ADVERSE DRUG REACTIONS
Headache, sorethroat, rash, nausea,
leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, aplastic anaemia,
lymphadenopathy
